Oh yeah! It’s hot, it’s steamy; the insatiable (sc)rubbing of naked bodies. That’s right, i’m talking about the public bath house down the road from the Whale Embassy right here in Sunny Ulsan.
Living in between a car park and a pile of rubble on a site where a whale and dolphin meat processing factory will be built, in the middle of the asshole of the industrial armpit of the world gets you feeling pretty filthy after a few hours (certainly after a few days), and this morning I was happy to part with 4000 Won (~US$4) to get in and have a sauna, shower, bath, and scrub myself silly with the great little exfoliators they sell there for an additional 500 Won.
The fancy digital scales they have in there confirm I’m continuing to lose weight; I’m down to 78kg and I can’t remember how long it’s been since I was that light, normally weighing somewhere in the low eighties; I sure do miss being able to cook with familiar ingredients.
So, I’m feeling cleaner than ever, fully caffinated and physically and psychologically prepared for another day in Jangsaengpo.
