The Australian: Leslie Kemeny: New forum for a clean future [January 10, 2006]:
The article ‘New forum for a clean future’ attempts to extol the benefits of
the The Asia-Pacific Partnership on Clean Development and Climate, basing
solutions on new technologies in opposition to the Kyoto Protocol (failing to
recognise that, yes, ratifying Kyoto would be but a first, necessary step,
being a true global agreement).
“Most energy experts now believe that the only effective solution to greenhouse
gas minimisation and climate change is the global acceptance of nuclear power
technology.”
The article then attempts to strengthen its case by quoting from Patrick Moore
(former Greenpeacer turned pro-nuclear).
It was written by Leslie Kemeny – “Australian foundation member of the
International Nuclear Energy Academy and a consulting nuclear engineer and
physicist.”
