Today our beautiful Isa Brown hen (unimaginatively named Isa) laid our first egg! How frickin’ exciting is that?!?! Our two Australorps look like they’re not too far off, but our two New Hampshires are still looking like they might be a little while yet.
We paid $54 for the (then tiny) five hens two months ago, so they still have plenty of laying to do before we’re financially ahead.
