Devondale GE scare | Greenpeace Australia Pacific

23 October 2007: Greenpeace activists activists entered the Melbourne  headquarters of Murray Goulburn (which makes Devondale dairy  products). Other cows unfurled banners outside, reading ‘Feed me GE  free’ and ‘Devondale – Say No to GE Milk’. Three cows were arrested  and later released. Murray Goulburn dairy herds are fed up to 5% GE  feed – which means GE may be sneaking into our milk. Murray Goulburn  also supports lifting the current ban on GE food crops

Melbourne, Australia — Greenpeace ‘comoonicators’ have taken action against Devondale dairy products, which may contain genetically engineered (GE) contamination.

Dressed in cow suits, activists entered the Melbourne headquarters of Murray Goulburn (which makes Devondale). They refused to leave without meeting managing director, Stephen O’Rourke. Other cows unfurled banners outside, reading ‘Feed me GE free’ and ‘Devondale – Say No to GE Milk’. Three cows were arrested and later released.
