Data Collection
This site uses Google Analytics 4, gated behind a consent banner. No tracking occurs before you grant consent. When analytics is enabled, aggregate traffic data (page views, scroll depth, reading time) and basic device context (language, timezone, screen size) are collected. No data is sold.
Advertising
If you grant advertising consent (a separate toggle in the banner), two ad scripts load:
Google AdSense (publisher ID ca-pub-6275306310835906) and the
LinkedIn Insight Tag. Both set third-party cookies managed by Google and LinkedIn respectively
and are used for ads and ad measurement. Declining advertising keeps both scripts off entirely.
Local Storage & Cookies
Three items are stored in your browser's localStorage: a theme preference (theme),
your consent choices (adrianwedd_consent), and — only if you enable personalisation — a visitor
memory (adrianwedd_visitor) holding a visit count, a last-visit timestamp, up to 50 recently viewed
page paths, and the hostname of the site that referred you. It never leaves your device. All of these persist
until you clear your browser data.
The consent banner also sets one first-party cookie (consent, 1-year expiry) recording which
categories you enabled. If you grant consent, GA4 (analytics) and AdSense/LinkedIn (advertising) set their own
third-party cookies.
